Description

The lemon and peppermint soap has a beautiful fresh smell of peppermint that is balanced with the less prominent lemon smell. It is a very refreshing summery smell. Lemon is known to be great for releasing emotional blocks and the peppermint works to cool and calm itchy and troubled skin.

Suitable for every skin type — dry, normal, and oily skin.

  • We handmade all our soap, therefore the photo of colour and pattern is only for reference.

What is Cold Process Soap

Soap is made through a chemical reaction called saponification. This process involves the binding of oil or fat and lye that breaks down the oils so they may be absorbed into the body.

Cold process soap involves mixing sodium hydroxide (lye) with water and oils to initiate saponification. The mixture is then poured into a mould where it sits for 48 hours before being cut into soap bars. It is then left to sit for 4-6 weeks to cure, allowing the saponification process to complete and the oils to fully breakdown.

All our soaps are made through a cold process that ensures all the goodness in the natural ingredients and essential oils remains in the soap for full benefit to the skin.

Benefits of Cold Process Soap

  • Retains nutrients from the natural essential oils to fully nourish and restore your body.
  • Retains the natural moisturising agent glycerine to further moisturise the body
  • Does not contain any harmful chemicals.
  • Made from natural ingredients.

Care and Use instructions

To keep the soap in the best condition after opening the soap store it in a dry place on a draining soap dish. Don't let the soap sit in a dish or container that is bowl-shaped, or that allows water to pool in the bottom. Avoid using indentations built-in some showers as "soap dishes" as they rarely drain properly. To increase the longevity of the soap, avoid rubbing the bar directly on the body. Instead, use hands, washcloth or other bathing instruments to apply.
